About My Work
I am currently a Marriage and Family Therapy Trainee.
I am completing my clinical training under
licensed supervision at an approved practicum site. My work is grounded in a humanistic, trauma-informed, and client-led orientation, with an emphasis on relational healing and emotional attunement.
My clinical training draws from evidence-based and depth-oriented frameworks, including emotionally focused, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and systemic approaches. I work collaboratively, with respect for each person’s lived experience, resilience, and capacity for growth.
I do not provide independent therapy services and practice only under supervision in accordance with California Board of Behavioral Sciences requirements.
Theoretical Influences & Clinical Training
My therapeutic training and academic background are informed by:
Humanistic & Client-Centered Approaches
Trauma-Informed Care
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Behavioral & Systems-Based Interventions
EMDR (training completed)
Foundational influences include relational, existential, and systemic thinkers such as Rogers, Yalom, Bowen, Freud, and Gestalt traditions.
Education & Professional Background
Current Status
Marriage and Family Therapy Trainee (2025–2026)
Education & Training
M.S. in Addiction Psychology
EMDR-IA Trained
Certified in Addiction Psychology
Certified in Medically-Based Opioid & Benzodiazepine Dependency and Tapering
Harvard Medical School – Certified Medical & Media Writer
My earlier professional work was in writing and media. Today, my focus is clinical training and therapeutic work under supervision, integrating depth, science, and lived experience.
A Note on Experience
With decades of education and professional life behind me, my work is shaped by both academic rigor and human experience. I no longer write from the heart — I listen to it. Healing, for me, is a disciplined, relational, and deeply respectful process.
